Opening the new Cash Centre of De Nederlandsche Bank

On June 2nd, President Klaas Knot of De Nederlandsche Bank inaugurated the new Cash Centre in Zeist. The DNB Cash Centre showcases innovation and state-of-the-art technology while being integrated into the surrounding nature with a focus on sustainability. A portion of the Dutch gold reserve is stored in the Cash Centre. Additionally, this is the operational hub for currency sorting and distribution for De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB). The Cash Centre is located on the Camp New Amsterdam military grounds in the municipality of Zeist. The realization process began in mid-2019, and the building was completed in September 2022, followed by the interior setup and relocation.
