Paul de Ruiter welcomes Canadian delegation on behalf of DGBC and his office.

January 26, 2018 Visit from Canada Green Building Council

Honoured by the request of the Canada Green Building Council and the Canadian Embassy in the Netherlands, Paul de Ruiter Architects welcomed a delegation of multiple Canadian professionals this week to talk about sustainable architecture and to visit two of our sustainable projects. Diederik Beutener, Anke van Hal, Thomas Mueller and Mark Hutchinson were the perfect combination to guide the delegation. The delegation included multiple Canadian professionals all specialised in sustainable building processes, architecture, project development etc.

First we welcomed our Candian visitors at our office in Amsterdam. After a nice informal breakfast and an interactive presentation by Paul de Ruiter, the delegation went to visit our project FLUOR in Hoofddorp. After a lunch and welcoming by Rutger Schuur at The Circle and a most inspiring talk by Anke van Hal andAnnemarie van Doorn, the delegation got on the bus to Rotterdam to visit our recently opened project HSR Businesschool in Rotterdam.

During their stay in the Netherlands, the delegation visited a variety of other amazing sustainable buildings and will visit more at their next stop in Vienna.

Thanks to everybody involved for making this inspiring day possible.

Our special thanks goes out to Jeroen van Baekel and Sander van der Pols for their dedicated time and hospitality at FLUOR and HSR Business School.
