Ehab Al Haddad
Ehab completed his bachelor's degree in Architecture at Damascus University and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Architecture at Fontys Academy in Tilburg. He joined Paul de Ruiter Architects in the summer of 2024, beginning with the Waldorp project. He was drawn to the firm's innovative design approach and community-focused projects, which align well with his values. Sustainability is a core principle for Ehab, as he believes architecture should minimize environmental impact while addressing present-day needs.
Prior to joining PDR, Ehab gained valuable experience at Havermans Hielkema Architecten, focusing on technical architecture in the final stages of projects like The Marker and Princenpark, while also contributing to design. At Group A in Rotterdam, he worked across various project phases, including technical architecture, and carbon-based design research with CarbonLab's "Hoe Willen Wij Bouwen" initiative. This diverse background has deepened his understanding of both technical and creative aspects of architecture.
Ehab's passion for architecture is rooted in his family - "From my father, who's a structural engineer, I inherited a sense of logic, while my mother, with her love for interior architecture inspired my creativity. This unique blend has driven me to pursue a career in architecture, where I enjoy working with people and tackling challenges. Architecture constantly offers me the opportunity to engage collaboratively and push boundaries, allowing me to combine my analytical skills with creative expression.".
