Thom Peperkamp

Architectural Designer

Thom has been sketching buildings for as long as he can remember— a passion that, fueled by his grandfather’s collection of architecture books and Copic markers, soon evolved into a clear ambition: a career in architecture. After a short internship in high school, he decided to study Architecture at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. He then continued his studies with a Master’s in Architecture at TU Delft.

Through his experience in the field, he discovered what drives him as a designer: looking beyond aesthetics alone and critically assessing developments in today’s architectural landscape to find smart ways to anticipate the future.

That long-term vision ultimately led him to Paul de Ruiter Architects. “Because of its pioneering approach, the firm attracts a wide range of ambitious projects, and that diversity really appeals to me. Right now, for example, I’m working on a fascinating project where we’re transforming an old factory—bringing together sustainability, innovation, and creativity in a beautiful way.”
