Thomas de Bont
Thomas is currently studying Architecture at Delft University of Technology. After graduating cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and the Built Environment, he is now completing his Master's in Architecture, Urbanism, and Building Science. During his Master's program, Thomas developed a strong interest in innovative sustainable architecture. His focus is on how smart designs and advanced techniques can maximize energy generation and retention. The combination of technology and architecture particularly appeals to Thomas. To deepen his knowledge, he took additional courses in Building Technology, which significantly enhanced his understanding of sustainable design principles.
Before graduating, Thomas aims to gain practical experience in the field. Paul de Ruiter Architects aligns well with his interests and values. He is drawn to the firm’s focus on sustainable and innovative architecture, with an emphasis on the happiness and well-being of people. Additionally, he finds the flexibility and circularity in the firm’s projects very inspiring. He plans to start his graduation work in the Architectural Engineering studio in February 2025.
