We design for people first and foremost. Their health and well-being are our priority. You should be able to live, work, and enjoy our designs. We believe that a well-designed home, school, or office has a positive impact.
People have an innate need for connection with nature. That's why we incorporate natural materials in our buildings that invite us to touch them. Think of wood, stone, bamboo, and clay, for example. We incorporate fresh air and daylight into our designs. We also ensure that the materials we use contain as few toxins as possible. That sounds logical, but in construction, it's far from always the case.
Biophilic building goes beyond simply adding plants. It's an integrated design vision that advocates building with and through nature. Research shows that this leads to reduced stress, faster recovery, improved concentration and creativity, greater satisfaction, and improved sleep and mood. In offices, it leads to higher productivity and reduced absenteeism.
Our buildings offer excellent views of the outdoors. We prefer trees, plants, and water, along with green roofs and facades so you can experience the changing seasons. Inside, we incorporate abundant greenery, maximize fresh air, and create large windows, atriums, and skylights to allow daylight deep into the building. We design spaces that encourage people to take the stairs rather than the elevator, and encourage people to meet up for a chat. We create buildings that energize you.
What children breathe in every day matters. That's why we design with non-toxic materials.
