In our designs, we consistently consider the fact that daylight is essential for people. People who get enough daylight feel better and more comfortable, are less likely to get sick, and perform better.

Sufficient daylight is essential for human well-being: it controls our internal clock and influences blood pressure and metabolism. Daylight also influences mood and productivity, and it stimulates important bodily processes such as vitamin production. People who get enough daylight feel better and happier, are less likely to get sick, and perform better. In projects like the Polak building (Erasmus University), the TNT Centre in Hoofddorp, and the Courthouse Almelo, well-thought-out daylighting creates healthy, pleasant, and functional environments.
