After completing my Bachelor's degree in Architecture at Delft University of Technology, I wanted to gain practical experience before starting my Master's in Architecture to discover my ambitions within the profession. That's how I ended up at Paul de Ruiter Architects. During my studies, I developed a strong interest in various sustainability themes, such as renovation and reuse, biobased materials, and nature inclusivity. This wasn't just because of the social urgency, but because I believe architecture can contribute to a future-proof and healthy living environment for people and nature. I enjoy working from a clear concept that I translate into form, material, and experience to achieve an integrated design. My Bachelor's graduation project was a biobased building based on sustainable materials and circularity. Paul de Ruiter Architects appeals to me because sustainability is an integral part of the design process, where aesthetics, well-being, and social impact go hand in hand. My ambition to share knowledge and continuously innovate aligns with my inquisitive and inquisitive approach. In this environment, I want to further develop my skills in designing impactful buildings, where sustainability is not an addition, but the starting point of the design.
