'I constantly ask myself: what effect do design choices have on the user experience?'

In 2020, I began my Bachelor's degree in Architecture at Eindhoven University of Technology. I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Architecture at Delft University of Technology, where I will graduate next year. During my studies, I had the opportunity to spend six months at Tsinghua University in Beijing. In Asia, I experienced how cultural differences lead to different lifestyles and, consequently, different spatial arrangements. The more collective use of spaces particularly inspired me. Since February, I have been an intern at Paul de Ruiter Architects. I deliberately chose this firm because of its ambitious and progressive approach. The belief that sustainability and aesthetics go hand in hand aligns with my own design approach. I believe in designs that are sustainable and innovative, with strong character and a focus on the user. In my work, I constantly ask myself what effect design choices have on the user's experience. By looking from a psychological perspective, I strive to create spaces that are not only functional but also meaningful. I also work with photography, which further develops my eye for composition, light, and detail.
