Jos Beekhuijzen

Architect
'I consider the harmony between nature, people, and the built environment to be a fundamental principle in any design challenge.'

I began my architectural career with a strong technical foundation, earned through a Bachelor's in Building Engineering at the HAN University of Applied Sciences. This technical expertise forms the backbone of my approach, where I combine creative design with practical, feasible solutions. I completed my Master’s in Architecture at TU Eindhoven, during which I spent a year studying at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. After graduating, I worked at firms including Wiel Arets Architects and Korth Tielens Architecten, where I was involved in prestigious and complex projects such as the Antwerp Tower and the Van der Valk Hotel Zuidas, which won the 2021 BNA Award for ‘Best Building of the Year.’ My love for nature and sustainability brought me to Paul de Ruiter Architects in 2024. I strongly identify with the firm’s sustainable vision and am proud to contribute to projects that have a positive impact on both people and the planet.
