“What inspires me most about architecture is the way design, sustainability, and everyday life come together.”

Last June, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Architecture at TU Delft. I have had a strong interest in architecture from a very young age and have always been fascinated by how design can have not only a visual impact, but also influence the quality of everyday life and social interaction.

During my studies at TU Delft, I worked at Space Oasis Delft, where, together with a team of 18 students, we designed a village on Mars for a Space Architecture competition. Our project was subsequently selected among the top five entries. This was my first work experience in architecture, and I am now very excited to spend the next five months as an intern at Paul de Ruiter Architects.

During my very first design studio, two years ago, I visited a PDR project and have been inspired to work here ever since. What intrigues me most about Paul de Ruiter Architects is the way sustainability is deeply integrated into the design process, particularly through the reuse of materials and the transformation of existing buildings. I am currently working on a school transformation project here.
