'I see architecture as a means to enable the right change. Sustainability is simply the standard by which you design'

I graduated from Delft University of Technology in Architecture with my graduation project, "The Depolarizer." This project exemplifies what drives me as an architect. I'm fascinated by how societies develop and see architecture as a means to enable positive change. I enjoy working on projects with a prototypical component. It allows designers to share ideas and reach beyond the finished design. I see this same drive at Paul de Ruiter Architects. Sustainability has long been the standard here, allowing the focus to be on social impact and user happiness. At the same time, the firm is innovative and solution-oriented, resulting in groundbreaking architecture. Before joining Paul de Ruiter Architects, I gained experience at two sustainability-driven firms in Amsterdam and Toronto.
