Antea Group Headquarters

Back to overview

We designed a new office building for Oranjewoud Consultancy and Engineering. The new office is integrated into the noise barrier directly adjacent to the A47 motorway. The building has a BREEAM-NL Very Good certification, making it highly sustainable.

Highway View

The five-story office building cuts right through the noise barrier. On the parking lot side, where the main entrance is located, the building rests on columns, while on the highway side, it rises from the embankment. On this side, a 50-meter-high panoramic window from the restaurant offers a wide view of the landscape and the A27 motorway. The restaurant also provides access to the spacious patio in the center of the building, which has been designed as a courtyard and meeting place. The first floor houses the reception, restaurant, and various meeting rooms. The offices are located on the top three floors and are designed according to the principles of "New Ways of Working," with fully flexible floor plans.

The facade responds to weather conditions

For the facade, we developed a specially insulated aluminum curtain wall system with vertical aluminum fin profiles. The fin profiles reflect light, allowing additional daylight into the offices. Due to the shadows cast by the fins and the reflection of the aluminum, the facade responds to the sun, and the appearance of the office building changes with the weather. The facades of the inner patio are also clad with aluminum panels, ensuring optimal light in both the patio and the surrounding office spaces.

Visually sustainable

The office building has a BREEAM-NL Very Good certification, is climate-resilient, and energy-efficient. CO2 emissions are reduced through energy-efficient installations, water-saving measures have been implemented for the toilet and shower facilities, and energy-saving daylight controls. Water retention also contributes to the building's sustainability. Rainwater is collected in infiltration crates, after which it gradually disappears into the ground.
